HEROES LEGEND : THE FIRST STEP IN OLORON SAINTE MARIE (FRANCE) After a trip in France without incident yesterday, the 165 competitors of the third Heroes Legend enjoyed their first stage in the forests around Oloron Sainte Marie in the French Pyrenees. Greeted in the early evening by singing in Basque at their arrival, the participants particularly appreciated the festive atmosphere, which was offered to them by the community of Oloron. After a dinner of local specialties during which they were able to get to know better each other, they went to their hotels to enjoy a good sleep in comfort before the first stage today. At the foot of the Pyrenees, the surroundings of Oloron offered a very nice special 19 km. Although not taken into account for classification, it was worth it. It was the last opportunity for teams to test their race vehicles, cars and bikes, and to make the last adjustments. Competitors then had to drive in the direction of Spain. After 474 kilometers, they reached Aras the Los Olmos, a great place in the middle of the mountains, which hosts Heroes Legend for the third time in a row. On the program tomorrow is a stage of 25 kilometers, followed by a liaison of 544 kilometers to Almeria.
