There has been a bit of up and down time on the site recently as some nice person has taken it upon themselves to cause trouble and hack the server this is running on. Anyway this will be sorted shortly, just goes to show you can't trust anyone these days especially on the interweb...

Just thought I would jot down a couple of REALLY handy google tips.
The first is the age old problem of whats on at the movies. Now easy, simply type movies and your postcode in to the google search box and thats it, evey listing in your area ('movies OX2' for me).
The other is if you want to convert anything to anything else just stuff it in the google search box, 1 dollar to pounds will show the conversion rate it will work with time, weight distance and weird things, try 'once in a blue moon' to find out how often that happens.
All very handy, oh and handy tips for gps phone type stuff www.smart2go.com is giving away free mapping software for your mobile device, needs a wifi connection to get the mapping data though.
Just thought I would point out a whizzy new thingy I just added to these pages, if you hover over any link you will magicaly see a little preview of where the link takes you.
Noticed it on another blog (Peter Bell for all you tech types), it comes from a site called http://www.snap.com/
So there you are, all very geeky, but quite handy I think. Oh and very easy to add for anyone thinking of using it too, one line in my html and they do all the rest.

This is a great example of something really simple and very effective.
