I didn't get a chance to go on this trip what with having babies and the like but my bike did. Geoff is too lazy to build his brand spanker so he borrowed mine. It's going to be a year old before it sees any vans on its shiny new pedals.
Anyway Paul Foster did a sterling job of cutting some of the action together...
Geoff gave me a nice preasant for my birthday, the back end of Craig Cambells old prolight. This used to be hanging in my bedroom with Geoffs room next door and the front end in his room exactly opposite.
A few years later (20+) and harmony has been restored, the back end is now at the top of my stairs while Geoff has the front end in his living room. Don't think Sally approves from the quote "i'll get you back" though.
Apparently it has stirred up some controversy on the RAD bmx forums (here if youve signed up).
Anyway thanks for the preasy Geoff nice to have a coaster back in the house.
Old
school twitching was the name of the game on Sunday, popped over to
Milton Keynes to see a spot of BMX racing with a LOT of old school
bmx's.
I've never raced a BMX always been doing tricks, nice to
see everyone zooming round a track though. Alex had a dabble in the
racing and I managed to catch one race of his (4th I believe) more
restults soon i'm sure.
Raced Greg and Taff up to MK, Greg was
showing off his newly completed Raley Burner. Very shiny it was too and
seemed to create quite a bit of interest.
So a nice trip out
catching up with a few folks and wondering why people were peaddling
about at high speed for 30 seconds and then recovering for half an hour
saying I don't remember it being this hard.
The last old fools trip (a little while ago now) was to sunny Essex. Harrow and Rom to be more precice. Didn't quite make it to Harrow due to timing issues (Geoff was running late) but did spend a long weekend at the premier inn in Romford. Good times and only my second time there ever, last time was when I was about 16 some 23 years ago.
More to the point had a great time zooming about at Rom with the likes of Alex, Tim, Billy Stuple and Steve off the Telly. Even John Dye was milling about, a hot and sunny day was had by all.
