Well i'll go to the top of our stairs

Geoff gave me a nice preasant for my birthday, the back end of Craig Cambells old prolight. This used to be hanging in my bedroom with Geoffs room next door and the front end in his room exactly opposite.

A few years later (20+) and harmony has been restored, the back end is now at the top of my stairs while Geoff has the front end in his living room. Don't think Sally approves from the quote "i'll get you back" though.

Apparently it has stirred up some controversy on the RAD bmx forums (here if youve signed up).

Anyway thanks for the preasy Geoff nice to have a coaster back in the house.

MK 08 - Radbmx.co.uk

Old school twitching was the name of the game on Sunday, popped over to Milton Keynes to see a spot of BMX racing with a LOT of old school bmx's.

I've never raced a BMX always been doing tricks, nice to see everyone zooming round a track though. Alex had a dabble in the racing and I managed to catch one race of his (4th I believe) more restults soon i'm sure.

Raced Greg and Taff up to MK, Greg was showing off his newly completed Raley Burner. Very shiny it was too and seemed to create quite a bit of interest.

So a nice trip out catching up with a few folks and wondering why people were peaddling about at high speed for 30 seconds and then recovering for half an hour saying I don't remember it being this hard.

Rom revisited - old fools 4

The last old fools trip (a little while ago now) was to sunny Essex. Harrow and Rom to be more precice. Didn't quite make it to Harrow due to timing issues (Geoff was running late) but did spend a long weekend at the premier inn in Romford. Good times and only my second time there ever, last time was when I was about 16 some 23 years ago.

More to the point had a great time zooming about at Rom with the likes of Alex, Tim, Billy Stuple and Steve off the Telly. Even John Dye was milling about, a hot and sunny day was had by all.

Old fools ride again

Another Old Fools trip has been and gone, too old to remember what number it is but it was very good fun. This time it was London's turn for a bit of foolishness, starting in Harrow, then Rom and a final zoom around London. Well it didn't go quite according to plan, Geoff was late so we managed to get to Harrow just in time to get behind Tim as they left for our weekend in Rom.

Oh well will have a look at Harrow next time if it hasn't been redeveloped. A good bit of tomtom action got us to central Romford and the preiere inn we were all staying in. Who'd of thought of a long weekend in Romford? After a quiet evening of Essex watching the next day brought some very sunny weather, perfect for getting a good bit of sunburn at the legend that is Rom skatepark.

I hadn't been there since I was about 15, it did seem a bit smaller from what I remember but still a fantastic relic of a bygone era of park building. We all had a great zoom about with the moguls being my favorite of the day, just great to be hanging out with people who grew up there like Billy Stupple and just having some good old fun. Highlight was doing trains down the snake run, I think we had about 30 people in it at one stage.

We didn't fancy Rom for our second night so headed to (some where else in Essex) to try and fit 15 bikers and 1 girl into a pub / bar / restaurant for some grub. Strangely enough not that easy but the local Curry house accommodated us all in the end. Then back to Romford for silly stories, a bit more Rob Ridge the musical and more Essex watching. All good. Rain closed play for the next day and we all headed home but a fantastic day at Rom catching up with everyone, Thanks to Steve W off the telly and Tim Ruck for helping sort it all out and see you all on the next one with any luck back down in Cornwall.
